Tucker's Turtle Party

I decided to do a turtle themed party for my little man..I have literally been planning this since he was just a few months old to be honest:) I LOVE planning birthday parties...I am so very thankful for each of my kiddos so we try to make their birthday incredibly special. I knew I wanted his party to be outside...I already have 3 winter birthdays in our house so I was excited to have a July birthday party to plan. Some friends from our church graciously let us use their tent which was perfect since it ended up looking rainy and was sort of windy out. 

 

  

 

 

 

 

We found these turtles down by the river and they became pets to the kids for a few weeks. They would feed them each day and talk to them...they even named them. They were sort of sad to see them go back to their homes after the party was over. 

 I decided to once again make my own cake. I just hate spending money on food:) I got an angle food cake and then topped it with whipped creme..much easier to clean up and better than heavy toppings. I then just put crushed grahm crackers on the top with his turle and then put some on the bottom to create an ocean look. I was very pleased with how it looked and he LOVED it!

She made him his present this year..she colored a page full of little turtles. She was so proud of it!
