Charleston Charm Part 2

We knew that we wanted to visit the aquarium...Koop's one request. We also knew that rain was coming on Tuesday so we made that day be our day for inside things.
This aquarium was amazing! One of the best I have been too.
The kids and I love sea turtles so the rehabilitation part of the aquarium was amazing!
We got to watch them feed an adult and a baby turtle and the kids just watched it aww!
Koop was so excited to touch a real shark!
Feeding starfish and other sea creatures
I HATE spending money on food, but we love seafood, so we packed all of our own food and used a crock pot and then went out one time for seafood...and it was SO GOOD!!! We went late afternoon so there was no one there, which is great for when you have kids. Plus it was right on a harbor and the kids got to watch a huge yacht come in while we were eating.
Since it was still raining (flash flooding), Dad and Ty took the little boys to a Naval Ship Museum.
While the boys went on the ship, us girls went shopping:) Didn't
buy anything but I think this picture sums up the fun we had.
The next day it was beautiful out so we spent the day at Folly Beach
My sweet boys
Mom loves her goats and I love my hens...this place was made for us!
They were so good all day so Papa treated them to
ice-cream again! It was sooo good, and they all agreed!
Watching cruise boats with my girl!
 Boone Hall Plantation
This was so beautiful! And such a great history lesson for Tenlee.
The row of houses that the slaves of Boone Plantation lived in
This was truely eye opening to me. It had each slave ship that arrived to Charleston. It told how many slaves were loaded originally and how many arrived alive. The numbers were just unreal!
Getting ready to take a ferry boat ride. Tyler and my dad took the boys on a longer ferry ride while mom, Tenlee and I did the Boone Plantation. So we met them and they drove our vehicles while mom, the kids and I took the ferry back across. This was one of my favorite things we did on the trip. Dolphins came near the boat so the kids had a lot of fun with that, and there is just nothing better than being on the water in the warm sun!
Being sworn in as Jr. Rangers...they had to complete a small project in order to be sworn in.
We split up the trip back home and stayed in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee which was about 6 hours away from South Carolina. We have been there with the kids before...so in all honesty they were sort of bored and ready to get back home.
They laid down and were all 3 asleep in 5 minutes!
They were so excited about swimming at our hotel!
They got money from their grandparents and finally found something at a Disney Outlet:)
Downtown Gatlinburg
It literally started down pouring on our way back to our hotel...we stopped at a bus stop in hopes of taking a bus..but of course it was almost 10 and NO BUSES!! So we ran all the way back...let's just say we were exhausted and a tad bit wet by the time we got back to our rooms!

And lastly...we of course had to do some beach pictures:)
