Camping in Dixie

2 summers ago we bought a cute little camper...we knew at some point we wanted to get a one for county fair. We were not necessarily looking but were both just keeping our eyes open for a great deal. This camper happened to come up for sale just down the road from his parents, which is just a few miles away from us. I stopped and checked the price and knew that it was still a little out of our price range. But it was still there 2 weeks later so we both decided to have Ty stop and look inside it and see what the guy would do with the price. He called me after meeting the guy and said it was actually in pretty decent shape for being almost 30 years old and he thought we should low ball the guy an offer and see what happened. A few minutes later he called me back and said we owned a camper now:) The kids were SO EXCITED!!!! Once I saw it I realized that yes it was in pretty good shape but I knew I wanted to fix it up a little and make it our own. We had old flooring that we for some reason kept from 12 years ago that we were able to use on the flooring. I painted the cabinets and counters with paint we already had used for our remodel. The only thing we had to buy was paneling to cover the darker wallpaper on the walls. All of these simple cheap things made a huge difference and now it really feels like our little home away from home. It is definitely small but for now while the kiddos are still little, we will be able to make some sweet memories with it! And it has so much storage and serves it's purpose well with for camping!
They were SO excited!

This is my favorite spot! I love to do planning and with the windows you
are able to see everything outside. We love doing school on weeks we camp.
Tenlee and Grandma made the curtains for the camper.
We bought a gallon of paint from Menards and had it repainted...making it look a little more cleaner.
We took the bunk bed out and it really brightened and opened up the space! We had old flooring from when Tyler moved in 12 years ago...and for some reason we had saved it.
Our very first camping trip as a family
The bathroom is really nice and has a ton of storage. I decided to go
ahead and paint it to make it a little more updated and brighter.
This is literally one of Koopers things to do in the whole world!
So warm and cozy with our small fireplace this past fall.
