This momma hates winter with a passion. So when February comes around I am SO READY for spring weather. I absolutely hate winter...like I want to move south now! But I do love parties and making things extra special...and my sweet girl has definitely inherited those traits. A few years ago we started making Valentines a little extra special. We make our favorite food for dinner and we dress up super nice. Tenlee decorates the house and it is always so special. We always get the kids a little "I love you gift" from us and I love watching their faces.
He has been wanting a build a bear since sissy got 2 new ones for her birthday. But we knew he wouldn't play with it to make it worth the price of one so we found him a gecko lizard that looks just like his pet lizard and he LOVED it! He named it Zazu.
Gosh she is SO PRETTY!! I love my girl so very much!

My moms birthday is on Vday and my grandpa's 90th birthday was on
Feb 18 so Tenlee wanted to have them both up to celebrate their special days.
We had just finished eating and were just sitting there talking and our power went off and on and then went off for good. After calling our power company we found out that over 3000 places were also affected and it would be a while till it came back on. It was pretty cold that night so we headed down to my parents to get warmed up and shower and then finally about 10:00 our friends called and told us it had come back on. The kids LOVE when the power goes off. They light all of our candles and get to use their special flashlights. I snapped this right after the power went off and it is one of my favorite pictures of all time! These two are just so special together!!
I hope this is something we will always celebrate with the kids even
when they are older! It's turning into on of my favorite celebrations!
